Today's #TopTipTuesday: Support is Sexy!
In the past, when asked "What do you do?" I often responded with shy proclamations. "Well, I'm a multipotentialite." Somehow embarrassed that I couldn't quite explain the definition, I'd pivot: "You know, a multi-hyphenate. Someone who does a lot in order to make it all work. A hustler." But the latter, in my mind, always bore the stain of strenuous or disorganized effort.
What was really happening was that my curiosity and aptitude for learning quickly led me to develop skills in seemingly divergent careers. And it wasn't until someone complemented my 'entrepreneurial efforts' that I saw myself as such: an entrepreneur. Next came the acute understanding that I'd need a team to help me manage the duties all clamoring for my attention. I needed support.
